2G Code P1494... help me

Okay, so i have looked at previous post about this code, but im not fully understanding. does that code mean that my leak detection pump is bad or that there is a leak somewhere in my fuel lines? how can i test that and could it possibly just be a solenoid or wiring harness? when i went to autozone they said that the code mean leak detection pump pressure switch... also i am losing quite a lot of gas so im not sure if its from that or maybe something else is wrong? if you can shed some light that would be great!! much appreciated!!

420a car are the only ones that use a leak detection pump

There are two types of EVAP monitor systems. The
Eclipse with the 420A engine uses a leak detection
pump. All other models use a pressure sensor on the
fuel tank.

Did the car just now throw the code, how long has this been going on? Did autozone try clearing the code? Have you made any recent changes to the car?

Explain more about losing gas? As in mpg... or actually losing fuel out of the fuel line?
