420A P0420, P1494 engine codes need help!!!

i dont know what to fix with these codes
1. P0420
2. P1494

95 _98 p0420 / catalst efficiemcy below threshhold, and p1494 / evaporative emission ventilation solenoid switch or mechanical fault. Hope that helps

420 is cat efficiency. I would yank the o2 sensors and see if they are to blame first. Then if they check out, replace the cat or remove it entirely. If your car doesn't have one, that's why you're getting the code and you need to space the rear o2 sensor with a spark plug non fouler. A search of that will explain all.

1494 is an evap leak. Any good shop can make quick work of that for little cost.
