As a general rule, the PTE DSM bolt-on turbine housings flow rather poorly when compared to other DSM bolt-on turbine housings on the market. I highly doubt that housing would flow as much air as a T3 .63 a/r housing would, and as a result the turbo's overall airflow potential would suffer.

A customer of mine ran a PTE SC6152S with a .63 T3 turbine housing to just under 600whp. The turbo worked well but was horribly unreliable being pushed like that. The ball-bearing GT35 cartridge shouldn't have any reliability issues, even when pushed well into the 30's of boost. I think you'll be fine as long as you have enough fuel, perhaps some type of water/meth injection, and the rest of your build will obviously have to support that horsepower as well.

The GT35R-series turbos are excellent; they're just a little pricey of an initial investment, and costly to repair in the event of a problem.
 
Justin is right....... You rather get a T3 0.63AR housing. This is the same turbo AMS, was using in the past on many EVO's with the same 0.63 turbine... All of them made well over 600WHP mark.
If you still want that turbo, but Mitsu bolt-on, buy the turbo without turbine housing/if possible and then buy a FP 0.68 Mitsu bolt-on externally gated turbine housing.. It will be a little more expensive, but totally worth it and possibly over the 600 WHP mark... GL.
 
My buddy has a standard 35r with the .63 t3 housing and made 630whp.
 
hey guys ...what my plan is for the talon is do everything else to support 600whp on the car before i build the engine ...the engine a VR4-RS 4G63 i picked up from an importer 2 years ago ... its still stock but i have all supporting mods . i was going to get a turbo rated to 600-700whp and just max out the stock engine till i get all the parts needed to build the block/head and by then i will have everything on car to support the power gain... im currently using a FP manifold and if i get a T3 turbine housing i would have to change manifolds but im willing to switch to external wastegate for sure and thats why when i saw the DSM bolt on GT35 i got excited but i wanted to talk to u guys first before i bought it ...i guess for 450whp would the .63 a/r dsm bolt-on is good and then i could do what ANDY4G63 said and change to the FP .63 a/r turbine housing when the engine build is finish later the year...let me know fella's ...:D
 
Stock ignition will be able to support the power level your looking at.
 
u mean the stock ignition will be able to handle 600whp ...well i do have a msd dis-2 on the car and that works really good ..:)

Stock ignition can do 600whp with plugs gapped low (.018 ish). Some people have had luck gapping slightly higher but it seems most are around .018 or even lower. With the dis-2 you will be fine gapped right around stock specs. Good luck with the build.

PS: I highly recommend the T3 housing. While you will still go fast on the bolt-on, the T3 will let you really wind that turbo out.
