Has anybody passed CA emissions after a 6 bolt swap into a 2g?

I'd think that you wouldn't have a problem if your boost is still the same as when you passed it before (or as long as your current boost keeps you under the legal amount. I'm not sure what it is, because they don't test smog around here.)

i always heard it to be illegal to put an engine in your car that was from a car older than yours. I.E. if you put say a 91 6bolt in a 92, even if the 91 had less miles, its illegal. or putting a 6 bolt into a 2g which is a 7 bolt is illegal.

but....................

im sure most inspection stations wouldnt notice. i dont know all the facts on the 6bolt, but its just a different block right? as long as your ecu still is a 2g itll be fine.

A lot of it's going to depend on how sharp your smog mechanic is. I don't know to what extent the ECU may tell the State what you're up to.
