Bought 6B longblock for my build...Now is on pieces..and founf my 4th comb chamber was damaged before and that guy repare the thread..check up pic.I know that guy run on that rebuild stock engine up to 5k km..with 16PSI on 14B..

My question is..I wanna turn 35PSI on 35R..is this head safe??or Do I need to get other head??
I got 2G N/A head, but I have just 1G intake manis...So if will use 2G head I have to port match head with intake...WTF:notgood: lotta HARD work

Those imperfections/damage on the bowl of the head will not help with detonation. If that can be fixed then go for it. I dont see why it wouldnt be usable.

I don´t know how to fix it better...just "blot out" that bronze thread(Iam not sure what kindo material is that..) So I will smooth that comb chamber as possible and okay..
And..That "bronze" thread..couldn´t blew up under that Big pressure???

I think safer is Port match 2G head to 1G intake...OR

Thanks

I sure its some kind of thread repair. As long as it holds your plug and doesnt leak out of it then you should be fine. You can stick a old plug in there and fill that bowl with some kind of liquid and see what happens.

Im sure this seems more than what your probably hoping to do. If thats the case, then you mind as well pick up another head.

It may be possible to repair the head. I personally would just source out another head as they are a "dime a dozen". If you plan on running 35psi on a 35r than you will obviously be spending some money on your setup so i would get another head as it will cost nothing next to some of the other stuff you buy. Maybe a 1g head if youre considering that route

So you all saying Don´t use this head..I thought..

1G head is pretty hard to get in my country..anyways got 2G head I can port match with 1G intake..Of course will take weekend to port match...but the peace of mind is the point...looking for 650BHP on 35PSI of boost on 100Octane pump and 9K+ rpms and here is no place for maybe...:thumb:
As for head..going with oem valves:coy:,BC 280,FP beehive springs and ret,3G lifters

I know this head worked for like 5K kms..I tested pressurees on all 4cyl before parted out..and all had like 163PSI..all 4 without any major differenece between cylinders

Not to mention a 2g N/A, 420a, head won't work... :) Just looking out.

With the kind of setup your looking for, I would just spend the money on a new, better flowing head.

YUP..its 7Bolt 4G63 N/A DOHC head

here talk money.. get fully build head is 2k+ usd and get it shipped to my country...maybe 300/400usd..plus customs declaration..etc..+24% customs duty from TOTAL..:notgood:
Iam on budget now..and I know ported head with oversized valves ..Oringed..etc etc head will be best..esp with that kind of power Iam looking for..
Or if you guys have ported head with valve job..without cams and springs..or with some duals..or beehive springs..PM me..:thumb:

Looks like 2G head is my way...:coy::|

Thanks

i would not use it, im sure you can find one for cheaper then it wold be if you put that one on and the plug blew out LOL

Today was at Local car service..owner is my friend..I told him about my head..and that guy..I got one piece in here....:rocks: So we went into his garbage/warehouse.Finally after some time we found her..and it was..I hope its the 6Bolt head with big intake runners. Well..IT REALLY WAS..:thumb: then found it doen´t have cam caps..and then...found that comb chambr is okay..untoched:D
well..when i turn back to check for the cam bearings..found this..

:sosad::confused::cry:

So..later today I get an idea..I know some old guy almost 50yrs:shhh:..ouch young guy..sorry ;) he is working on "turning lathe" and got access to "milling cutter"..So hope he can "machine out" my 2G head intake runners to fit 1G IM..

What YA think??

That head is trash. You can not bore out that much of the journal. To do so will drop the cam down too far on the follower and will hold the valves open.
