Original cruise control throttle cable

So last nigh my cruise control box flew apart while driving not sure how but anyways went to a buddies house half a mile away and rigged up the original to work. So took all the cruise components off and used a bracket from my powersteering line. Grinded it down bolted original throttle line to the manifold after connecting cable adjusted to perfection. Tighten the bolt down and drove on home. Not permanent fix, but this ever happen to anyone before.

Never heard of this happening, and not sure if you actually use your cruise control, but if not removing all the components cleans up the bay nicely. If you don't want to stick with your improvised cable, most people replace it with a non cruise cable from a 420a or galant which are a dime a dozen at junkyards. I got a brand new non cruise cable for a galant for $14 from rock auto.

Ya i never used my cuise and you are quite right looks great without it. Didn't know u could use a 420a im gonna go get one tomorrow i know the pick and pull up here has 2 or 3. Thanks man
