Well, got a chance to run the car in October and made 4.75 pass and the nut on the compressor wheel came off sending the turbine wheel and the shaft out the exhaust in a bit ploom of smoke. Coasted to 11.87@92. It appears I was on an 11.57 effort, so within a tenth of my PB of 11.49. Best run of the day until that point was 11.62.
So, I've decided to take this time to finally remove the balance shafts and install my FP cams. This prompted me to pull the engine, and basically remove everything from the engine bay for some clean up.
As it stands now, all that remains are the brake lines, and fuel feed/return lines.
All wiring has been removed from the car. I will be removing the loom, and tracing every unused wire, and removing them from the harness. This is to simplify, clean up, and reduce weight. I have a good portion of the wires for headlights, horns, etc. removed from the engine bay harness and there is some weight savings to be had.
I just now was schooled on how to properly make a blog entry, so here's my second one. For small updates I thought I was making please see the comments in my first entry, thanks!
