I ordered from a vendor with a decent reputation, why I ordered from them (plus the cheap prices). I ordered an oem fork on the 29th that is still processing. So I sent them an e-mail after 4 business days asking when my order would be shipped; (going on 1 1/2 business days ago) that I've yet to receive a reply to. I understand that they might not stock oem parts and order parts on order taking a while. Is some customer service letting me know about my order to much to ask? I'd hardly be upset if they'd just be open and honest, hell maybe they usaly are. I just wanna know if I should order another one from some where else and cancel my order because this is fork goes to my only means of transportation and I'm going crazy without a car.

Have you tried calling? These vendors get a lot of e-mails and it might have gotten lost in their inbox.

Usually it takes a vendor 3 business days to get in OEM parts they do not stock, unless they're coming from a warehouse that's far away. Even still, they should most likely have a fork in stock, as this is a very common universal part for a DSM.

Because in the past if vendor name is mentioned, then other people usually start complaining about the problems they have had with the company and it just ends up getting closed for turning into a vendor review thread.

If you feel it should stay in, send another mod a PM and ask their opinion. If they disagree with it being removed, it can be put back in.

Maybe because this is a slow shipping issue its not a big deal. But if the forum is going to have all the good vendor reviews its only fair to keep the bad reviews also. That way the website is not biased. I mean I know they pay for advertising but it shouldnt be a one sided view of the vendors. Both sides should be freely expressed.

I agree, we need to have a "Vendor/Seller Feedback" section...

Its not fair to only show the good about vendors and delete the bad... people could have the wrong impression :hmm:...

But then again if i was paying fee's to become a vendor, i wouldnt want to have anything bad about me on the site :toobad:

yeah but even though they pay money its a crock when they take money from members on the site and dont follow through. we all know what vendor this guy is talking about they dont have good rep. I wonder if the move had something to do with this?

You know what is a crock? when you need a part and you have the money and they ignore you, well all I have to say about that is they lost a customer.

Im currently having an issue with a vendor. Naming vendors isn't allowed here (so i wont) But i paid for a product days ago, was promised a tracking number days ago, and still nothing. Been pming people and getting nothing. Must be the move, too.

I have a good idea who it is since I had the same happen to me. Give them some time. They sometimes go as far to outsource them from elsewhere if they don't have the OEM parts available. If nothing else, give them a call. They're friendly. I almost set up an appointment with them to have them do something to my car.

Finally got a reply back, the item that was "in stock ready to ship" actually wont ship for about a week. Kinda their fault, kinda not.

Sorry for posting the vendor name. I'm new to the site and admitt did read all the forum rules...

I looked for a more suitable posting forum to put this in but turned up empty handed. I do think its a little ironic to sponsor a vendor but not allow the forum users to talk about their vendor experiences, good or bad. Smells like bad biased business practices to me, but I'm a new member not a founder and respect/understand (a little) dsmtuners practices... after all this is a great site filled with TONS of GREAT information and people.

Oh and yah I should just call them, but damn now I'm chasing my damn money/parts with a bbb (i think). For some reason the whole phone idea went directly over my head, LOL.

A little heads up. Its the 4th of july weekend MOST companies closed down on the 30th for the week and wont open back up until monday. I would allow at least another week before you start complaining. It usually takes 3-5 days for a payment to process and then you can expect the shipping time, you then factor in the holiday. If you ordered on the 29th I would expect it no sooner than the 10th.
