I've been lurking around here for some time, reading and gathering all the knowledge I can about the parts I am looking to purchase. I am still on the fence about two things though, injectors and whether or not to get the 34mm flapper done to the evo II turbo

My mod list is current in my profile, and my list of things to purchase this month is as follows:

Evo III 16G
Install Kit
Evo or 650cc injectors
1G water pipes since my current turbo is oil cooled only
o2 Housing
AFPR
Logger (on its way)
Wideband o2 sensor
ARP/OEM hardware

I'm looking to run 20 psi max on my set-up. I really just want a really quick, fun daily driver.

Now where I'm unsure about my plan is the turbo and injectors. I'm buying the turbo ported, and I have a die grinder to do some additional porting myself. I don't know whether I should invest in the 34mm flapper mod as well.

As for injectors I have evo 8/9 injectors on my mind since I have found plenty of sets dirt cheap, or should I keep looking for a set of 650's? I'm looking at the Evo's because I have found a few sets where I could send them out to get them cleaned and flow matched and It would still cost a few bucks less then what I've found 650's for second hand.

Do you intend to ever put any more go fast parts in? Or upgrade on these?

If so just spring for DSMLink. Also to that fact if your going to and go for DSMLink, go for 1000cc or bigger injectors. Can always tune them down and will save money in the long run.

What kind of logger is on the way?

Get a complete AFPR kit. I got the extremepsi.com fuel lab one. It was pretty good.

Forced Performance is having a badass sale on there exhaust mani at the moment. Go get one of those to replace the garbage ebay one you have.

You recirculating your BoV i hope?

Well as for dsmlink, if you could sell your safc for like 150, sell evo scan ( not sure how much it sells for ). That has to net you 200. That right there can get you the eprom. Then you can get V3 lite for 350. Its a lifelong investment that i think pays it self back after the first tune. But anyways.

As for porting the 2g mani. The FP one for 185 is better than the evo 3 ported or the 2g ported. An better quality. Id suggest investing in that.

I had 550's on my gst and did 20psi fine. But what i would suggest are get some FIC 650's or something along the 650 line. I wasnt pushing the 550s to the limit. But 85% dc is close. So better safe then sorry.
