Booo! Another talon turning into an eclipse!

Look at the smile in that Talons face... its such an evil lil grin showin that it wants to do some rice killin! :D

BTW, Nightshade is kinda Pricey! You would seriously be better off just getting smoked corners instead of smokeing the ugly clear corners.

Its not turning into an eclipse, its combining the strengths of both into something greater than the sum of its parts!
I just got my 2gb eclipse frontend conversion painted...

Now uh, use your imagination to picture that in white :thumb:

I just say buy an eclipse if thats what you wanted! But thats me... I love Talons as equaly as Eclipse's. I seriously want to get ahold of a Spyder, convert it to 2gb Talon body on the front and rear end... then convert it to AWD.... Just so I can be one of the few that have a Eagle Talon TSI AWD Spyder... LOL! I saw one around here and it was hot!

I think I get what your saying. I guess what I like is the partial conversion, combining different generations. Not full blown conversions, thats kinda a waste of money.

I dunno, not puting down the people thats done it. Talons are a dying breed! They are being converted to Eclipse's... I think they should all be what they are!

Those are hot... But no... they will not!

Stock headlight bulbs are L:9006 H:9005. The stock bulbs inside those headlights unfortunatly are H1's... New car's are using them. My brothers 06 Altima has H1 low beams and 9005 High beams.

There are a few things you can do... All of them require hacking!

If you want to just keep the H1 bulbs, thats fine, light output sucks... but you CAN get an HID H1 Conversion Kit to put inside those Projectors. The light output will kick ass after that... BUT, it will not even touch real car's light output. So if your just going for looks, no need to go deep into converting the Projector Housing.

Best way to wire the headlights up to be just like stock, is to take your stock headlights, use little needles to dismantle the 9006 and 9005 Plugs, Remember where the wires go! You dont want to screw this up for risk of injury to the bulbs or your car's electrical. Once you get them dismantled... Rip the wires out of your stock headlights. Now you can put the stock harness together anyway you want. Either you can put it back together and plug up your headlights to it and plug it into the car... or you can get real fancy, drill a small hole in the bottom of your new headlights where the hole is in your stock headlights, and shove these wires in and put the harness back together and plug things up... this would make the headlights seem pretty oem! So I'll leave that up to you!

As for the Halo, you can wire that into anything you want... a switch, your parking lights... whatever! I wired mine into my Parking lights.

Next, HID's... Yes there are H1 HID Conversion kits... And yes they do work! The problem is, that the actual H1 Projector housing isn't made for good enough light output... your better off using them as fog lights! What alot of people do, and you can do a search for it on here (search for AZDAVE Projector) or something along those lines to get the right one. Is to convert the housing to a D2S Housing from a BMW or Audi or some other vehicle that used a Valeo D2S Projector Housing.... ITs somewhat easy if your mechanicly inclined and love building things! So do a search and figure it out!

BTW, if you need any help with any of this, hit me up! I'll walk you through it all. I've done it all LOL... Especialy Projector Headlights with Halo's... Also so has AZDave and a few others. I'm sure any one of them will help you out also.

You kind of lost me. Im going with the h1's. Just for looks. I get how to wire the halo's. Im not really understanding the wiring the headlights.

You've got me interested in this too now infinite, one of my headlights wont work for anything. Can you recommend a seller or give us any links or diagrams on how to rewire them?

Lol, try reading that post slowly... Sometimes i go to fast!

An all in all treatment is, You MUST use the harness that is located INSIDE your OEM Headlights. You'll see this when you pull your stock headlights apart! The headlights themselves have a Y Split harness inside them that you need to use for the new headlights! The new headlights are not setup right! So they will not plug into your car! They will only plug into the harness thats located inside your stock headlights, that plug into your car! Do you understand?

If I had a flippin headlight torn apart I could show you...

Take one of your headlights off, and look at the bottom of it. There is a 3 wire harness comming out of the bottom rear of your oem headlights. THAT needs to be dismantled properly and pulled out of your stock headlights. Then you can put it back together in any way you like.

I myself, I drilled a small hole in my headlights and inserted the harness into the new Projectors and put the harness back together. So the new Projectors were completely plug and play with Eclipse/Talon

I understand now. Is the harness connected to the bulb itself, and you have to take it off the bulb and you it to wire in the new one?

No... ok there are 3 plugs on the Y Harness. There's the plug that plugs into the car... and there are the two that look identical but they aren't. One is a 9005 Plug and one is a 9006 plug. So remember which one is which. and remember which wires go where on each one.

On the end of the H1 bulbs will have the two wires going into a 9006 and 9005 Female Plug. Those you leave alone. Once you rewire the OEM Harness... you can plug them up to the OEM Harness and go!

When you get the headlights and pull your oem headlights off... you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

You can still install these headlights, you'll just have a small half inch gap on the inside edge of the headlights.

but it might be best since you have to take your bumper off anyways.

Update, put on tint and side clear lights.

Need bumper, halos. lower it.

Tell me what you think so far.

Looks good... The halo headlights for 2gs dont look too bad. I prefer the way they look on a black or grey 2g but it will look good on yours too, given it some flare. Im 50/50 with the carbon fiber hood, sometimes it turns out to look really mean, sometimes its ricey.
The tints made a big difference, but you mightve gone too dark... Hope you dont run into legal issues, even though eventually after a year or so the sun will fade them out some. i plan on tinting my car 20 %. Lowering the car about 1inch is all thats required on a 2g in my opinion. A big monster fmic in the grille definitly will help LOL. :thumb:

"UPDATE"
Put the bumper and headlights on.
Still need to lower it and somehow get the back window tinted(what a bitc)

Here is how the smoked side markers look on silver.
In the first pic they look good because they match the headlights.
