2G Opinions on delivering pizza in a turbo w/oil leak

What is your guys opinions I live in the northeast and I have been sick and its been snowing like crazy so I have an oil leak I can see it on the alternator. My mechanic friend says it doesnt look like the head gasket more likely valve cover or maybe oil pan gasket. I had him put some dye in it to find leaks. I have to deliver pizza for about 5 hrs should I be worried. I plan to monitor oil level and temp when I am working. I figure it will definitely be able to see the dye the next day. I like this 95 turbo awd automatic Talon I dont want to mess it up. Also in general what do you guys think about me using it to deliver like 10 hours a week.

1)Let your car idle about 20 sec before you turn it off.
2)I've brought home pizza in my eclipse many times, and there's absolutely no flat surface in the car for it. (Sometimes I create a flat surface by bunching towels up on the passenger seat.
3)Drive fun when your not working. Be mellow when delivering pizza. I'd hate to see what a pizza looked like after you boosted around a few corners, .

The best place to keep pizza is the passenger side floor as to delivering local with a 16g I would think you would barely hit boost. I new someone who delivered pizza in a 420a and he beat the crap out of that car. I remember one day I was driving behind him when he did his last delivery of the day and he was driving like a mad man. I guess the faster u deliver the better of a tip u get.

I have delivered pizza in the past and probably wouldn't deliver in the Eclipse.
Maybe the Mighty Max with a loose exhaust and fading paint.

It seems to work better for tips, not having a new car that shines.

I imagine delivering in an Evo would probably work against you in the tip department. Josh

Ive been driving my car for too long neglecting valve cover gasket i just clean in like every other day...dont have a garage and its cold as f*** up here in northern michigan so havent gotten to gasket yet..and u can deliver in it but it is not.the most economical. And let ur car runn much as u can starting and stopping engine all day is lost stress and if ur boosting especially i delivered in my spyder for least a year for jimmy johns and definitly ended up costing me lots in return with breaking stupid little stuff..wish i kept ny civic for it just maintain it and ull be fine and change that gasket

A cheap DD is where it is at to deliver pizza, or anything... really.
Unless you have your car completely dialed at most times or have a newer any car.

I only do it 2 days a week for a few hours I dont know why I would break little things. I am planning on selling my civic. I will then have the money to tune my car properly for about 300 ish hp. Valve cover took 20 mins to do just need a 10mm socket. I am off this week so we shall see next week how it does.

For me it comes down to which side the leaks on so if it's on the timing side I'm not driving it, Passenger side would be on my things to do list.

Even the smallest of leaks will create an unbelievable mess. I had a mystery leak, along with the normal leaks @camshafts, @Valve cover, @oil filler cap, @oil pressure units, etc etc, .eventually I've fixed all of them. The mystery leak was due to a missing bolt for the oil pump housing (waaaay at the top corner near, the Water pump. I think it had been removed by mistake during a water pump replacement, by the same guy who did the timing belt that later went toothless. Over time the result is something like a "Goo-Glacier", a layer of black mud 1/4" to 3/4" thick, inexorably oozing down and enveloping everything in its path, on its journey to the rear of the vehicle. The first(?) "lifetime" alternator lasted 3 months, then an average of one per year. Also destroyed or compromised was anything made of rubber or plastic, ie: motor mounts, bushings, and boots, and worst of all the belts. This car's chassis could be another source for crude oil.
It should have a BP or Exxon sticker or name tag on it.

Don't let this happen to you. Fix the leaks, all the leaks, as they arise, .


Oh and watch out for nice new driveways.
