ok, i searched but couldnt quite find what i was lookin for. does anybody have info on running open wastegates in a dsm? what would it take to run a open wastegate on a 14b, and what would be the advantages/disadvantages? i know its been done(running open WG's on DSM's), but dont know what it requires. my friend is running an open WG on his typhoon and i love the sound of it but dont really know much about it. also, what kind of difference would running a o2 dump make? does it produce the same sound? and if i was to run an open WG is a bov still needed? i know im misinformed, but thats why im asking. please help me out with any comments/advice.

to run open wastegate, u'll need an external wastegate.
the easiest way to do it will be to get an O2 housing setup for external wastegate.

external wastegate is loud, takes personal taste. I find it sounds like you're choking a sheep. you'll still need a bov. I cant think of any real advantage/disadvantages on a 14b

there is no reason why u would need an external gate on a 14b. If ur creeping a lot then u just need to spend a little time and money on porting ur o2 housing and the hot side of ur turbo.

External wastegate is a waste of money unless ur using a turbo that actually needs it. Its illegal anywhere u go that has police (depending on if they know what theyre looking at under ur hood), if u can get away with internally gating a turbo then keep it like that so u dont have to worry about anything else.
