by any chance do you get a power gain from it?im getting it regardless because of the loud sound at full boost!

No, first off if you have emissions it will most likely not pass as it's a pretty cat exhaust leak. Next, I think you will become annoyed with it rather quickly.
Lastly, on a 14b you aren't flowing nearly enough fumes to need an atmosphere dump.
I had a 3" O2 housing w/ dump tube made to match a custom 3" shorty exhaust.

I found what little lag there was to effectively disappear, picked up power through the mid range and top end. This in addition to much better boost control. But then the 6cm housing quickly becomes a restriction.
This was in addition to a DSM flanged tubular manifold though.
The dump pipe is loud.
You should do it if you want to. On stock boost I don't think it'll help much but Atleast it'll be loud
