Since i got my car a couple months ago its been whining, i assume its the transfer case. Well i noticed my rear end started acting funny as well about a month ago. When i turn, it acts like its a locked diff. the inside tire chirps or spins in gravel like someones welded it, around the same time i got a bad vibration on the highway that comes and goes, along with the front DS axle popping real loud when i turn right. (i assume is was all just the axle).. well today on the highway, the vibration just went away.. then when i turn right or swerve right it makes a grinding noise like a wheel bearings out. so i pulled over, checked lug nuts, wiggled all my tires.. no loose lugs, and no wheel bearings seeming to be bad. so i took off and the rear end clunked when i took took off.. long story short, my front wheels arent powered anymore for some reason, only the rear. t-case doesnt whine NEAR as much, the vibration went away, and no more popping axle sound.. WTH? :banghead: :banghead: . im dumbfounded, and have no clue what this could be..

O! and also i changed the rear diff fluid, trans gear oil, and t-case gear oil about 3 weeks ago.. all full.

CENTER DIFF could be shot. When you changed the oil in the tranny, what did it look like? also the clunk in the rear could be the sub-frame bushings are worn and need to be changed.

the fluid looked like oily chocolate milk. and yes one of the bushings are broken. (noticed when i changed the rear diff fluid) and the center diff being shot sounds right, but i would think all the wheels would just quit LOL. something else ive noticed, before all this happened when i went to turn it almost felt like something was stopping it, and when i come to a stop light it felt like a brake was rubbing. thats all went away now as well. only other thing, i cant afford to fix this right now, buuuutt this is my daily.. is it safe to drive, 15 miles to work and back 6 days a week? or should i take it home and park it. will it tear other stuff up?

and would it breaking cause it to leak fluid now?

and by driving it i do mean topping off the fluid daily.

Could this all be cause by an axle being bad? It "kicked" back in earlier for a couple miles and started doing the same thing it was doing before, I stopped shut it off and checked for leak, an nothing. Started it again and back to rwd. When it does leak fluid it looks like there's a shit Tom of metal shavings in it.
