only boosting 7 psi not 10?

out of no were i was boosting 10 and then it stays at 7 psi now? i dont understand why i have no boost now? boost leak ?/

yeah it will be prabaly the boost leak
do a boost leak test and you will see

naw its not a boost leak ### some times it will go back to 10.

i think youre factory boost gague is just trippen a little, run a manuel boost gague right from youre throttle body to find out for sure what it is. and youre not running a Manuel Boost Controller? make sure youre boost/vaccume lines arent kinked, cracked, or tour. this should help, if not check the spring rate in youre wastegate. and when do you notice the difference in 7-10 psi? is it different when its hot or cold out??? different rpm levels? also check for shaftplay in youre turbo, a little up and down is ok/kinda normal. but in and out means its over and time for a new turbo or a rebuild. good luck.

The factory guage is an estimation based on airflow... not very dependable
An aftermarket guage will read actual intake manifold boost/vacuum which is exact.

Do you still have the factory BCS solenoid installed in your wastegate line? If so, you probably have big time knock issues, so the ECU is closing off the BCS, reducing the boost to save your motor from self-destructing. What octane are you running? Are you sure the base timing is at 5* BTDC where it belongs?

had the same problem with my 1st gen, I had a bost leak.. ran 7psi for 2 weeks ..
