I don't know how much money you're willing to put into this, but JMFab makes SMIM's set up for rear wheel drive (opposite throttle body) and flanged for just about any throttle body you want.
 
This has always been a buget project and im going to keep it that way...:) If you already have a 2lt 5 speed mightymax and a 4g63t you could do the swap for about $1000... if you are skillful with welding and problem soving... then you can do it for less.. i might have 500-$600 in my swap...Most of the parts you need are already there asuming you have a donar.....I highly recomend this swap..is there really another small truck cooler than one thats 4g63T powered.....nope :)

I notice today that my intake manifold is pretty hot...Whats normal temp? cause right now it's almost so hot that i can't touch it.....I knew i was going to upgrade sooner or later, i might have to make it sooner....Also my idle is eratic....kinda shakey it idles around 500 rpm in open loop....Idles smooth as butter when i first start it up...but after i drive it awhile it's not smooth at all....###### need a new idle control thingy thats on the TB....
 
Depends on how long you drive it of course but mine on my talon gets pretty hot after about 15-20 mins of in town driving at about 30-50 mph I usually try not to touch it after that:talon: . BTW what Nissan truck you get your wheels off of? Titan, Frontier, Armada?

Wow, my starion intake manifold dosen't get this hot at all..thats why i was wondering...Belive these wheels came on all of nissans big trucks...

haha and yeah 2ft recirc tube ftw, its nice to see you actually did that instead of just venting it like most people would do in that situation.
 
Took about 3 months for me.. cause i work 40-50 hours a week...Some has done it in a month or so....the idea of this swap was to get it running good with minimal cost..i didn't really have to buy much, if there are any g54b guys here you can tell i even used some starion IC piping..LOL...I'll work out all the kinks then i'll go front mount, get me a locking rear diff, might even lower it...As long as can still hawl with it..I used a 5 speed 2.0lt mightymax trans(narrow) bolts right up to the 4g63T....like i said my tuck was 2.0lt narrow so i didn't even have to buy a trans...:)
 
I wonder if the bolt pattern for the EVO VIII and IV Intake manifolds are the same? Since it reversed you might not have to have it super ghetto rigged like that.

I almost won a Forrester Intake Manifold from ebay for $300 just lost at the end.. now that would have been perfect..thats ###### the direction i will go if i do buy a intake...
But what i got works really well so im not in a hurry....Single best thing about this swap is the off boost performance, having those 4.11 gears make it seem like i don't even need boost to get going pretty quick:cool:
 
sweet project! my buddy has a MM, i keep telling him to do the whole 4g63 thing to it, it would be a way funnerest project than just modding his gst again.
