okay this is killing me....
old tranny with 146k didnt have first and barely had 3rd...
swapped in USED tranny...all gears work perfect BUT....
after the swap the car acts like clutch slip but its not clutch slip since the clutch is only 600 mile old act 2100....
car doesnt move and from a stop if i PUNCH the gas (serious balls to the wall, pedal to the metal deal) there is a intense grating noise coming from SOMEWHERE...cant figure out where with me in the car...if i roll very very soflty, no noise at all but it feels like slipping ...like car would not move anything above 3000rpm (tach would rise like a blur)
but this all happned AFTER the used tranny swap...thing is during the swap the transfercase had to be BEAT to hell (with a hammer) to get it on the output spline and mated to the surface to bolt it on.. it would NOT go on easy...im wondering if this has anything to do with it...transfercase pushing on the axle and applying too much pressure?
not rear end, rear end is perfect. not cluthc, clutch is perfect....what else can it be?
