Ok to run flywheel without dowel pins?

Hello,

A friend got his flywheel resurfaced and they shaved the dowel pins (no idea why).

Is it ok to run it as is?

Nope. The machine shop needs to get the dowel pins out free of charge or replace the flywheel. That's a dumb f'n move on the machinists part.

its not necessary to have them. Its preferred but not 100% necessary

I wouldn't run it w/o them, but it's more of a preference IMHO

I would have the shop fix the pins.
