Do i need to really use the (welbro) fuel pump when it comes to breaking the motor in? i dont want too if i dont have too. Next how much hp will my motor have with the low comp pistons? any one have an estimated guess? i know it will drive like a tree attatched but i gota break it in you know... so thats the few questions i have.. what do you think of the parts i bought? i hope they are good.. I have a FMU 12 something coming right now and its on its way.

The low compression pistons are not going to make that much of a difference in overall horsepower. You must realize you are removing your old high mileage parts and replacing them with forged lightweight internals. Not to mention, most people do alot of other machine work while the have the motor apart anyway.

It's not really worth trying to calculate, you probably wont notice hardly any difference. I went with the longer rod kit with my rebuild, race balanced the crank, bored the block, bored the throttle body, added accell 235cc injectors and removed the cat. I noticed an obvious difference in power even w/o turbo because When I had bought the car the thing ran so poorly that I got passed by a dump truck when I was in 4th gear and flooring it. LOL . Anyways goodluck on the rebuild and remember to do things like: New timing belt, water pump, oil pump, UDP, headstuds, main studs, etc, while the engine is removed. It will save alot of hassle down the road.

Hey Lance, I forgot to answer your question in my last post. Just hook up the Walbro, your still going to get just about the same MPG and it's one of the easiest things to do. But yes, you could run the car without, as long as you don't have your turbo kit in, because trust me, your going to want to floor it once the turbo is in... Lol.

There will be a loss of power running a lower than stock compression ratio. You may or may not notice it, depending on the condition of your motor before the rebuild.

You can run without the 255 during break in, as long as there is no boost. You can run with the 255 during break in as well, and it will run the exact same. You can also install the 12:1 FMU prior to boosting (during the NA break-in, even) without any problems.

Eagle and Wiseco are a popular combination around here. I would not expect any problems with them. Make sure to get your rotating assembly balanced, and don't forget the O-ring in the bed-plate when you assemble the block.
