Well just like it says i have had this 1ga for a little more then a year now and without even noticing i did the stage 1 upgrade path minus the fuel pump. So what do you guys think am looking at.... I know i am going to sound like a dummy but i don't want numbers but do want to know if you think i am anywhere close to where it says i'll be.

Intake Pipe and Filter- K&N filter with dejon pipe
Boost Gauge- Glowshift 7 color series (i know not the best but seems ok)
Boost Controller- Greddy pro spec ii
Cat-back Exhaust System- no name on it 3" came with car when i bought it along with high flow cat and downpipe
Exhaust Manifold- Evo 3
O2 Sensor Housing- Evo 3
Fuel pump- none
Intercooler piping- Dejon with greddy type s blow off valve non vented
Tre Stage 2 Tranny (the stock had a cracked bell housing so i just upgraded)
Evo 3 16 g turbo
Act 2100
Act flywheel
Short shifter
Also got a eprom but no chip i know that doesn't count for anything but thought i would add i am saving up for ecmlink
Boosting 10lbs scared to up because of lack of fuel

You can turn the boost up to 15psi. I cannot say what your HP may be or even if it's close to what the upgrade path states. Get a fuel pump, AFPR, injectors and ECMLink THEN I could say you would reach those numbers after tuning of course.

This thread may not last long, since it probably falls under the heading 'bench racing'. That being said...

I hate to break it to you, but you are making stockish hp since you have not increased your boost pressure, maybe a few more ponies since you have a 16g and might be moving a little more air than with the stock turbo. But realistically, about stock. To be on the safe side, rewire your stock fuel pump (you'll want any upgraded pump to be rewired anyway for maximum flow potential), buy a wideband and learn how to read it, and you can get away with 15psi as mentioned earlier.

That's why i stated i didn't want numbers but wanted to know if you think it has what the upgrade path says i don't consider that bench racing thank you for heads up. Also maybe you should read what i have in my spyder i do have a wideband so learning was done a long time ago. In my opinion then the stage 1 upgrade path is false and should be taken down....

I'll say it just means that you are capable of making those numbers WITH tuning. Sure throwing on a bigger turbo will raise the HP a bit just from the added air like said above. Without those parts especially the exhaust, you would have so many restrictions on flow that it would be hard to get good numbers.

Also, the last one is just "turbo upgrade". Each turbo out there will give or be able to produce different numbers so it's more-or-less a rough number to put in there. Go and do the fuel and tuning and you'll be much happier :coy:

Thats what i thought that I would need a nice tune... I better start saving... Times are hard to drop $600 for ecmlink i have dsmlink for my spyder but i was also working when i hooked up the spyder now i don't work, i go to school so its a little harder.

Get a wideband learn more about to tune before you get dsmlink, how are you tuning it now. My glow shifts are great. Every car is different dont look for numbers here, or it will be a closed thread.

I did not read your profile, since you were talking about a 1g, and you had a list in your first post of the parts on it...didn't mean to imply you don't know what you are doing. If you have a wb02 on your Spyder, then you already know how important they are, and probably ought to have one on this car as well. And since a wb02 is not listed in "stage 1", but is a huge help, a number of us suggested it.

The upgrade path says under the boost controller heading "At this stage, you won't be turning the boost up past 16psi...", and you have not turned it up at all. There's not really any reason to say the upgrade paths ought to be removed since your complaint is based on a couple of steps you have not taken, which are addressing your fuel pump and actually turning up the boost pressure. All the other goodies serve to support the little twist of that knob, but won't make you any power without actually doing it.

Just re-wire your fuel pump, turn your boost up until you hit fuel cut, then back it off 1psi.

That works too. I ran like that for over a year LOL.

Point taken... thanks everybody

He is right....once you rewire your fuelpump you can boost more....most likely up to 16lbs the MOST, if you dont rewire it im sure you can go up to bout 12psi. You can get a walbro190 fuel pump which doesnt require you to get a fuel pressure regulator and you can up the boost even more with that. You will see signifigant gains once you up that boost!!!
