Oil pump question

Is it possible for an oil pump to physically wear out?? I've also seen some high volume oil pumps for sales does anyone know what they have done to make it high volume? I have low oil pressure and i have checked everything the only thing that i could think of is my oil pump must be wore out and I am just looking for some advise before i go buy a new one.

Don't go High Pressure. You already have to much pressure at higher RPM's with the stock pump so don't worry about it. Their is a very good thread about the Oil pump and the oiling system in general in the Advanced Tech secion. I'm to lazy to link it but it is towards the top of the forum.

I would just go with a standard Oil Pump and clean it up with a dremal to get rid of the casting flash and maybe while you have the front of the block exposed clean up the oil galleys some and if you are brave enough radious the entrance of the oil galley's into the block.
