When I got the 6bolt block, there was a crack on the front case. So I need to get a new one. I was wondering what else I would need. Does the front case come with an oil pump, or is it seperate? Should I get a new water pump while i'm at it too? What are all the gears, tensioners, etc that I need to replace on the whole side to rebuild everything to new specs?

Thanks!

All new Front Case Oil Seals.

Mirage Oil Pump Stub Shaft for Rear Balance Shaft delete.

Old Oil Pump Gear should be fine.

All new Tensioner & Pulleys.

Water Pump & O-Ring.

Air to Oil Cooler Setup - shitcan the Water cooler.

New Crankshaft Pulley / Harmonic Balancer.

Good Luck, Buck

thanks for your help. I'm definitely doing the balance shaft removal. As for air-oil cooler setup, instead of water pump, what exactly is the difference and where can I get it?

In NJ I would want a 90 Oil Filter Housing with the Low Oil Temp Air to Oil Cooler Cutoff Valve - OR - An aftermarket Kit that included such a valve - It gets cold in Jersey - Our vendors & the real aftermarket Parts guys have the OFH's & Kits that will work - My gallery shows a Bumper to Bumper aftermarket setup that was about $90 adapted to a 91 OFH with NO Low oil temp cutoff Valve - BUT it DON'T get cold in S.C.! - The nicer more expensive kits have H/D A/N style Couplings & adapters.

The water to Oil Cooler is a COMPLETE POS - do NOT run with that.

Hmm. I was going to go with what was originally on it, and get the balance shaft removal kit. But now i'm deciding on what to do.

I know I want to route an oil cooler (similiar to an intercooler) to cool oil temperatures. I also want to do the same with the transmission fluid.

Sorry - had to ask when you said tranny cooler - The Engine Air to Oil Cooler is a MUCH higher priority IMO - actually everbody's opinion - You see very few Manual tranny coolers except for the Autocross guys.

so trans cooler is not necessary then.. that's good, saves me some time, money, and labor.

now the air oil cooler works how? Oil flows through a radiator type thing, and cools as its going back into the motor, right?

what is the water cooler? oil ran through a water cooled object?

See that VFAQ & my Gallery - Basically the Water Cooler is an Aluminum Waffle POS that crushes internally - Contaminates your Oil & Coolant - OR - It crushes & you spit out your Oil Filter gasket & lose all your Engine Oil VERY quickly at 4 - 5000 RPM - It's a freaking Hand Grenade.

The OFH bolts ONTO & THRU the Front Case so you should have your choice of OFH On Hand when mounting the Front Case so as to be able to Torque the Front Case evenly.

What year is your 6 Bolt & is the OFH on it?
