Oil Problem

I recently checked my oil and found that it was about an inch or 2 past the full mark, black, and smelled of gas. Ive also noticed that my feul pressure has dropped slightly. I also hear a tapping sound that i have heard for the past month ago before all of this happened but it sounds like it got worse. The car does not smoke at all and runs perfectly fine. Oil has been changed about 2000 miles ago. How could gas get into oil and cause it to be overfull? What do i need to do to fix this problem?

The injectors could be leaking down after you turn your car off, the are still pressurized and if they are not seating will leak gas in to the cylinder. Pressure check to see of they are holding there pressure. Change your oil!! With the contamination you oil is diluted and has lost its viscosity to keep the lifters pumped up causing the tapping.
