I just changed my oil to VR1 racing oil for my eclipse and now my oil pressure is pretty high is this normal?
Idle 17-20
while stepping on the gas its 50-100
It use to be Idle 10-13 and 30-65 while on the gas

Do you have you oil filter housing ported? I run the VR1 as well and have around 20-25psi at idle when warmed up. My pressure gets fairly high 50-60psi while cruising at 3k or so. When I go WOT, the ported relief opens and it doesn’t go over 100 psi.

My thought is as long as your turbo has its regulated pressure, your engine is fine with a little higher oil pressure.

I'm currently on 20/50 VR1 also and my numbers are similar except at 8k I'm at 87psi. When on 10/30 break in oil, my idle, part throttle & cruise numbers were a little lower about 5-10psi. Saw this a while ago and found it very interesting.
