Ok So im worried that my engine has no oil pressure. (4g63 obviously) So I need some advice. Ok so some times my stock oil pressure gauge says I have oil pressure than some times it doesnt. Im hoping that its just the gauge so I need your advice. When its cold the oil pressure doesnt really read that good but when its at operating temp it is about in the middle. THan it will go down and the oil light comes on than when I rev it its fine. I only have 5-30w in it which Im going to be draining and running 10-30w. But thats not my problem my problem is it doesnt always do this. And the car runs fine and the cams and everything get oil. Not like drowning in it but there covered.

The factory oil pressure gauge's are know for not being accurate. It is most likely a lose wire connection on the pressure sender or switch. I would check that first. If that's not the problem I would get an Autometer gauge to check what's actually going on before tearing stuff apart or replacing parts. This is what it should look like:

The yellow wire goes to the oil pressure switch for the warning light and the blue wire goes to the pressure sender for the gauge. Make sure both connections are clean and tight.

*** This is for a 1g. I didn't realize you had a 2g. Maybe it the same or at least similar but I'm not sure. I hope this still helps somehow.

And Another thing my car doesnt burn oil and it doesnt lose it.

It starts up first try (when the battery isnt dead thats getting replaced) and warms up fine when i first got the car the oil pressure gauge hardly worked. THan I screwed around with the stuff around the oil filter and some wires and it worked but only every once and a while. So im guessing its just the wires.

I don't know if I would drive it until I found out if it really was low oil pressure. Maybe connect a manual gauge to the oil filter housing to check or run thicker oil. You may have a bigger problem on your hands than just the gauge.

I dont think I do tho the cams get oil I mean Im watching oil get shot up in to the cams and lifters thinking about it tho Im getting oil to the top end that means the oil pressure is fine im also running 5w-30 in the winter. Im pretty sure its just the wire's but after reading what clipse said Im pretty sure its just the wires. Lately tho the oil pressures been fine the gauge reads fine and everything.

Im sure its the oil and gauge Im changing the oil when i go to work on my car in a week.
