I have retrofit a 420A, Jeep tranny, and Ford rearend into my MG Midget. I'd like to add dual remote oil filters and an oil cooler. Does the stock oil pump provide sufficient pressure to support this? From what I have read here, normal hot idle oil pressure is around 8psi, but increases as rpms increase. Idle oil pressure that low does not sound sufficient to push the oil thru the lines, 2 filters, cooler and back to the engine on a street driven car. What are your thoughts?
