So I am removing my oil pan to install a couple a an fitting, and 1/8th bung, and was wondering what color rtv should I use for the gasket? Will copper suffice, or should I use grey? Thanks.

I use the red (high heat) RTV, but the black (oil resistant) theoretically should work better. I use it on the oil pan and the drain flange and never had any leaks. I also put a bead down in the middle and wait about 2 minutes then install it, just remember to not to over tighten the pan, it's only about 5ft/lbs or 15 in/lbs if I remember correctly.
