Oil mixed in coolant immediately

there were areas I had lightly scoured with a light piece of 600 grit sandpaper. So some areas bounced light a little differently in the pics.

the thickness of my composite (graphite) gasket is .060 btw.

be back at 7 to start the work up again and get things together.

Jan 31, 2010: Got the gasket on, head on, torqued and in the morning I'll assemble the rest, drop it in and see what happens.

Feb 1, 2010: Got the engine in and all hooked up, ran it for ten minutes or so, twice. No new oil showing up as of now. Will continue tomorrow after flushing the system a bit and who knows, we may have lift off!

cross fingers all!!

took her downtown for registration, no issues so far. going to do one more coolant flush and an oil change and see how she likes the boost. I'll report back.

Bullet, thanks for keeping up each day.

No prob.

Yeah, boost should answer the question. Sounds good so far

I'm finishing the install of all the gauges (the right way) and its taking hours. So tomorrow night by 9pm or so, I should have my first run on boost. I'll start with 10psi and if all goes well I hope to have everything dialed in and see 22+psi before bedtime. I'm using two G-meters, and the iPhone dynometer. I'll post "charts" tomorrow!

2/7/10: Worked into the night getting everything wired back up. Met a failed wideband, a few misc. leaks, blown fuses, malfunctioning HKS EVC, and ended the night with a dead battery.

2/8/10: Started the day recovering a few of the problems ending the day with a 90.00 F-A-L fan killed, destroyed poly IC piping elbow and of course SNOW!

to be continued in a few days guys.
I F#%$ing HATE snow.

running clean, but still haven't gotten to push the boost up yet. 10psi so far, no issues. Tying up some loose odds and ends still.

Crossing fingers that I'll be set for 22+ psi by mid week.

Mar 3, 2010: Still haven't been able to find a spare day to make all the necessary tweaks before hitting real great boost. As of now, 10psi runs have been fine no leaks or mixing.

+1 for the composite gasket with o ringed block as of now.

I've started a new thread addressing issues with prepping for my dyno visit under 420a engine management area. (for those interested)
