Today my oil light came on randomly. The stock oil pressure gauge says thats its running normally. Is the the oil pressure sending unit going bad? I figure since the pressure is still good and the car is driving fine, that i should not worry about it and its just a sensor. And i did check the oil level and its fine. i just don't want to damage my engine.

Also it does not flicker like most peoples do, It says on solid.

Check to see if the sensor came unplugged. If the oil pressure gauge is still working and indicating pressure and the car is still running, you obviously haven't lost oil pressure so you're looking at a sensor or wiring problem.
