So my oil light started to come on when the car is off and the key is turned in the on position. Also it idles really rough and at times the oil light will come on then the car shuts off. I asked around getting various trial and error solutions. People telling me I need to change my oil and filter (I did), check for spark with a screw driver and the ignition wires (I did and have spark), make sure the cam shafts were turning (I did and they do), clean the throttle body and check for dirt (I did and its clean), also to replace the intake manifold absolute pressure sensor (maf barometer sensor) (I did and its brand spanking new). So now I'm here to ask my DSM brothers and sisters if you have had any experience with this type of situation. Also it ran fine up until I stalled when the rpm gauge did a death drop one night. Now it drives like a twin turbo V8 or better yet when Paul Walker drove the green one in the first FF. My rpms are high and I idle at about 2k at times and when I step on the clutch its revs up like my foots on the gas and no my foot isn't on the gas. I sound like the only D-Bag on the road. Poor old ladies cower in fear when I pull behind them and I'm in neutral.

Oil light comes on when there is no (or practically none) oil pressure. So it's normal when engine is not running but key is on. Or when engine is about to die (like less then 200 rpm) or there is practically no oil there.

Correct, if the engine is just chugging along about to die then the oil pump isn't spinning fast enough to build over 4 psi so the light pops on.
