I have a couple oil leaks, but I don't know exactly where they are originating. The main leak is on the driver side, and oil is all over the alternator and what i think is the power steering pump. But The top gasket (head gasket?) also appears to be leaking and that may be it, but more severe on the driver side? Here are some pictures.

It seems like the a lot of the oil ends up on this. But there is also oil splattered on a bunch of stuff since its getting on the gears and flipping from hell to breakfast.

Here is the beautiful mark I get basically daily.

Oil is not milky, thank goodness!

This is the left side of the gasket that appears to still have a leak, so is this whole gasket bad? Is this the culprit for the whole leak or is it something else?

I also looked at my turbo (super 16g) and there is oil coming out of the compressor housing. :notgood: Does this mean the inner seal is bad and the turbo needs to be rebuilt? There is nearly no in and out shaft play and a little of side to side, so I don't think the whole turbo is bad. But my car gets a great burning smell in the cab whenever I get into any boost. My poor car is not tuned (battery died :banghead:) I have DSMlink, but never used it before so I will probably have a pro do it. But basically it is running really rich. I heard the burning could just be that, but I get some blueish smoke when I first start driving and after I stop, but when I let it idle i have no smoke at all.
Here is a pic of the turbo.

Yep oil, clean though. Is this the only reason I am getting the burning smell in the cab, and getting the blue smoke?

These are the leaks I have found, what do you guys thing the problems are and how do I fix them?

Thanks guys.

Well, the "top gasket" is the Valve cover gasket. they are easy to change out. I just did one on my DD GS-T.

I cant tell from the pictures, but are you able to see anything more than just a wet Alt and PS pump on the drivers side? that shot doesn't really help to identify the source of the leak. (Although, I would say its the valve cover gasket, or your oil dipstick tube if you have excessive crankcase pressure.)

If your turbo is leaking oil from the center section, it needs rebuilt. Even though you dont have shaft play, the oil seals are toast.

The car has 116xxx, but with an Rebuilt 6-bolt in it with about 7xxx on it. But yes it is hard to see where the leak is coming from since it's getting on the gears and flipping all over everything... :/ But I did not check the top of the intake tube, I looked in the bottom where it hooks onto the turbo and there was oil in it. I don't think the leak is from the dip stick because when I checked the oil, the stick seemed like it was in there snug. How much is a valve cover gasket? Are they all the same or are there brands I should avoid?

It's normal for oil to be in the ic pipes but if there is alot, you take off the intercooler and you can pour oil out it's probably the turbo. As for the oil on the drivers side I'm guessing your valve cover seal is really bad or when someone replaced it they cracked the valve cover and now its squirting out. It could also be a oil pan gasket or even the oil filter, sometimes you have to tighten the piece that the oil filter threads onto because they come lose and leak oil everywhere. clean it up and then look for fresh oil.

Make sure your timing belt is free of oil! You dont want that slipping off.

You also need to make sure your valve cover is crack free before replacing the gasket. If the cover is cracked it will probably leak. As far as branding goes a basic Autozone or comparable gasket should be fine.

Your "super 16g" sounds like it's an ebay pos and that could be the cause of the blue smoke (maybe bad seals as well). How's your compression?

Also, that leak looks like it's coming from your valve cover but it is really too hard to tell because of your well defined pictures. It's not that hard to tell what's leaking. Wipe down all your oily spots and clean your motor. Go drive the car around the block a couple of times and then see what's oily. Then, like some sort of black demon magic, you should be able to figure out where the oil is coming from.

If you cannot then I feel bad for the car if the owner can't even find where his oil leak source is.

Anyways some engine degreaser and a hose will help ya out man. And like these other guys said..just check your intake for blow-by and your valve cover gasket. Goodluck bud!!
