Did a boost leak test lastnight and only found two leaks, small ones.
My question has to do with oil in my intake tube. When i took off the tube, I noticed a THIN layer of oil inside the tube. It obviously also traveled into the turbo and elsewhere. Again it was not alot but is this bad? Can/should it be fixed or something to change? I have read reviews on oil catch can's, breathers etc. All mixed opinions.

Whgat would you guys suggest?
Jon

The oil in your intake is caused (most likely) by the PCV valve letting of crankcase pressure as well as oil into the intake tract. In terms of catchcans, a catchcan would be the best bet, but the $10 filters are not a good idea. With the little filters, instead of oil getting into your intake, it goes everywhere else in the engine bay. If you are a budget-minded person like me, and a $40-50 "name brand" catch can is out of the question, you can make your own pretty easily and cheaply: http://www.tgilmore.com/talon/catchcan.html

HAHA, I just stumbled onto that website before you posted it. But thanks! I was going to go that route 3 months ago but I didn't know if the fuel filter was the right one.
Thanks, and looks like now I have an excuse to clean my IC.
How logn does those fuel filters last?

I would imagine it depends on how much oil gets caught in them. Once they get pretty dirty, it's probably a good time to change them. At least they don't cost that much :thumb:

The PCV valve would pass oil into the intake manifold, not the the air intake.
