Oil residue in intake manifold

The hole intake manifold is black. And looks like oil residue. Is this normal for a car with 139,xxx miles on it? I have a brand new pcv valve installed. what can you clean it out with?

Yep it's normal. I always use parts cleaner or brake cleaner works.Put a breather on your valve cover, and cap off the nipple on your intake that will help cut down on the residue

seafoam and brake clean is what i used when i was clean out my 1g intake great stuff

thanks for the speedy reply. much apperciated. i just wanted to make sure it was normal before putting it back together.

clean it before you put it back on. I used a can of heavy duty engine cleaner. if you have the money, go get it steamed at a shop. removes everything.
