oil in coolant. please help, ive tested, checked, researched, and tire stuff down.

I need help. I have a 95 eagle talon tsi awd with a 99 eclipse gsx motor in. I had oil in my coolant and tried doing as much research as I could. I took off the oil cooler housing and all that and inspected and tried testing it with air pressure forcing water through to see if it would come out the oil side and couldn't find any leak. So my next attempt was the head gasket. Tore the head off and no sign of a blown head gasket. I have no coolant in my oil. The head was just machined and decked. Everything including belts and gaskets is brand new. Less that 1000 miles. I don't know what's causing this leak. It still could be the oil cooler housing but Idk if there would be a fell tale way to know for sure. I'm only 19 and I'm not made of money and I'm losing hope quick. can someone give me advice on what to do?
 
It has to be the head gasket or oil cooler (if you have a liquid cooler) Im pretty sure those are the only 2 places that oil and coolant could come in contact with each other. Did you have issues with this before you remachined the head? What head studs are you using? did you torque them properly? (90-100ft/lbs in a specific order) What new head gasket did you use? (you didnt reuse the old one, right...?)

I had this issue before as well, back when I was dumb and decided to go with a $45 Failpro garbage gasket. You MUST use a true OEM mls gasket, or perma-torque with quality head studs. (theres a few other that people use, but those 2 are the most common)

looking at your mods list, I assume your not push much boost past stock?
 
There are only so many ways for High pressure oil to enter a low pressure coolant.

If you take a moment and think, Your warm idle oil pressure is 20psi+ (on most 4g63 engines) Next most import cars have a 13 psi rad cap.

So this shows oil getting pushed in to coolant.

The common fail point that causes this is the oil cooler, some over torque it and crush the internal fins.

Now it is unlikely that that a HG would allow oil into coolant, there is only one place that pressurized oil crosses the HG, and it is not close to a coolant port.

Now if there is a gouge or a warped area on the head or block surface, from the oil feed to the head to a water port then yes this would allow oil into the water. If this was the issue, I would expect to see an oil leak on the outside of the head also.



The last way I can think of for oil to get into the coolant is a cracked or rotted through oil galley in the head (doubtful) or in the block( more probable, but still doubtful) this would be caused from neglect of the cooling system for years, allowing the water to rust away the cast iron on the outside of the oil galley in the block.
 
Just my luck, I tested the oil cooler twice and got no show of a leak. I took my head off to inspect the gasket and no sign of damage. Had a buddy that's a mechanic come over and he inspected the head and gasket and agreed it didn't come from there.. I then went and showed him how I tested the oil cooler, and sure enough water leaked to the bottom. Just unlucky. Ruined a head gasket and head bolts with less that 1k miles.
