so i noticed the other day that i got oil leaking into my spark plugs. I took out the covers and cleaned them off and shit as much as i could. Then a day later or so i noticed it got just as oily. SO there's some leakage somewhere. I'm thinking either from the oil cap or possibly a blow-by throuh between the piston and cylinder wall. I HOPE its just a bad oil cap cuz thats a lot easier to replace. ANybody have any suggestions or advice?

are you saying the oil is down in the spark plug wells? most likely it's the gasket between the valve cover and the spark plug well - not too hard to replace. if you're saying it's on top of the valve cover near your spark plug boots, then it's probably your oil cap

sounds like either a cracked valve cover or blow-by. Run a compression test to see if your rings are done for.

If you are talking about on top of the valve cover, then that's from the oil cap. Its something I have noticed on all 1G DSMs, and some 2G DSMs. I replaced mine with a new one, 1991 and I didn't get any. Though, my car isn't running right now, so it will be kind of hard to.

Run your car for about 10- 15 minutes amd mix up between normal driving and then rip up the streets a little, pop your hood and rev the engine from the throttle body and check for bubbling around the V.C. If that doesnt work, its your well seals, you can buy an entire gasket kit for like 40 bux. Use ultra black permatex around the gaskets and let it tack b4 re intstalling, make sure you let the silicone cure b4 driving it again.
