oil filter wrench size?

will a 2 1/2 - 3" oil filter wrench work for our oil filters? I've searched and couldn't find the size of the filter. Thanks..

If youre buying the same filter that's on the car just get a wrench that fits the filter you are buying. 2.5 to 3 sounds a little big. Hoestly I don't pay attention as I have 4 or 5 wrenches

Ride past your local parts store grab one from the shelf and test fit it.

For removal I find this size to work just fine. I wouldn't use it for install though.
