I've been slowly putting together a rebuilt motor I bought from someone in AZ. Well I've gotten it ready to drop in, checked everything. Well today I decided to mount up the turbo and oil filter housing.
Well I've come to find out the top very left bolt hole threads for the oil filter housing is stripped and the bolt will not tighten and will not even go in. There is no bolt broke off inside. It just will not go in or tighten. It's the correct bolt and everything.
I put a thin layer of rtv on the gasket surfaces and tightened the other bolts to spec.
I do not know how to use a hexcoil or tap it, and I really don't want to mess anything up. But I can not afford to take it to a machine shop to have the threads re done. Will I be ok to run it with only 3 bolts?
