2G Oil change?

Excuse me for the lame question but I didn't found anything regarding what exact type of oil shoul I put on my next oil change...
Actually I am from Europe and till now I have used only 15W40 Castrol or Valvoline.
However I see here that there is many brands that I haven't heard of at all.
My car is GS-T 97' and is 104 000 miles ,the oil got to be changed on 106...
What oil I gotta buy ,from where,what filter and ecc....

15w40 is pretty thick, but that's okay. You'll lose a little bit a gas milage, but not too much. I guess it depends on your mods, if you're stock, 10w30 should be fine. I'd use Valvoline, or Mobil oil. The only filter numbers I know are Mobil... you'll need a MO-4610 and 5qts of oil. You can cross reference the filter number if you want a different kind. I put just a touch less than 4.5qts in mine. Be sure to prime your filter and lube the gasket before installing the new filter! Also, make sure the old gasket comes off with the old filter! mostly on the other forums opinions it is MOBIL that it appears to be most used...
10W30 is the number and the filters ,well basicly thay told me that they use mitsubishi factory filters.
All the change I'll do in FIRESTONE OIL N' LUBE here in PASADENA so I hope that they are aware of that they should first prime the filter and lube the gasket before installing the new one...
at least I hope so that they are.....
Also some guys told me that Castrol maybe will be a nice choice but non-synthetic again 10W30.
Mobil 1 10W30 synthetic is the most used I guess...so probably I will go on that one...
Actualy where I can buy 5qts of it???

P.S. Does the Mobil oil have the numbers or letters before/after the name like GTX or GT like used in Castrol oils??
and the car actualy is not just stock...it has a little bit of fuel injection mods as long as I am informed...

id run high mileage castol syntec 10w30, but thats my opinion...

Whatever oil you think is best.

Thread after thread has shown that oil brand, type and within reason, weight, just doesn't matter.
