Does the in-line fuel filter method work? Seems that the filter would get clogged with oil and lose it ability to let the gasses through?

If i bought a oil-catch can is it ok to have a filter on top of the catch can? Wouldnt that take away vacuum that is needed to pull the vapors from the engine?

Input?

I recently installed a catch can with the filter on top and have had zero issues with vac and boost just fine.

I was leaning toward longevity. As any problems wont be overnight but overtime.

Okay... Well I would assume that if everything is fine after 2 months of driving and boosting 15-18lbs regularly with it that it would proove to be fine. :|

You guys should really read the article I linked to. To the best of my knowledge, nobody has had much luck with paper or other make-shift filters for any length of time.

Crankcase pressure doesn't have a whole lot to do with the amount of boost you run, unless you are running upwards of 30 psi or more. And even then, it's still not the "cause" of excessive pressure in the CC.

If you really want to know if everything is "fine", measure your crankcase pressure. If it never goes above .3 psi or so, your ok. If it stays negative under all operating conditions, your golden. Otherwise, you may want to look into ways of lowering it.
