does anyone know if the Contitech timing belt is any good or is it crap?

I'm on an OE MD326059 belt and a GMB Water Pump for six years now and 35K miles with no problems.

I take the cam cover off on occasion for visual inspection and all is good for now.

Any other vehicle I did a belt on was a Gates belt and will impressed with Gates and their belts which holds up for almost a lifetime.

Heard that Contitech, a branch of Continental in Europe whom does OE belts for European vehicles, is one fantastic belt to put on also, and prices are comparative to OE prices.

ive always used gates belts, not the racing versions. i wrapped a gates super charger belt around a stud when i was routing it on a mustang(it was dark and test and tune was almost over) and shredded all the inner ribbs and still ran a low twelve pass
