I plan on shaving my rear wiper after all. I ditched the fog lights momentarily also. This leaves me with potentially 3+ blank switches (blank, fog, wiper...) in the factory spots. I alreaded raided a doner for extra switches... Heres what I found:
-Pop-up light switch is an on/off toggle with one normally closed, one normally open contact, both which share a common contact. = Instant on/off switch.
-The fog light switch has the same/similar story here I think... I havent confirmed yet.
-The Hazard is also (i grabbed an extra) similar to the pop-up in function.
-The rear defroster is pretty puzzling. Im gonna let it do its factory thing. It is strictly momentary from my ohm meter tests. I guess it trips the 11 minute defroster timer, and has a indicator light as well. Its too confusing to play with.
-The rear wiper is a surprisingly practical switch. It looks like it could be a main switch for button key-less start. each rocker position locks and maintains contact, on/off have a common contact, int has an isolated circuit.
This would require pretty extensive relay usage (including a "latching" relay, but should feel intuitive.
Int= off (same as key out)
Off= acc (same as key position 1)
On= acc+ign (2nd key position)
Push/Spray (momentary)= starter, release once started just like a key.
The switch part is easy, now for security, I will probably be retrofitting one of these kits unless something else becomes available.

I would hope to retain steering wheel lock functionality, but I doubt that will be possible. A starter interrupt and/or fuel interrupt will help greatly (integrate with FP rewire)
I could then proceed to integrate my lc-1 calibration switch/led into the defroster if i ever figure it out.
And maybe something cool/ ricerish into the others, like my DP cutout arming switch, or a NAWZ-YO arming switch.
I doubt I have factory security. I do have an AWD, the owners manual has no indication of a security/alarm feature. I guess my original owner cheaped out here...
I found some more potential RFID "plug and play kits" I would really like to add to this list and get some input if possible.
