aftermarket or oem style bumper

First off I have a 95 Talon TSI FWD that I am currently trying to get running, I was trying to get my front bumper off to install my FMIC, and I have found that many of the screws are rusted and breaking off. My bumper is not in to good of shape, there are cracks and just misc. things messed up on it. My goal is to get a talon 2gb front bumper,Im keeping my twist side skirts, my 2ga talon rear bumper, and thumb nail wing, and adding some smoked tail lights, but I want to be a little different. Has that setup been beat to hell? Should I go with an after-market front bumper. I dont want to be just another talon on the road. Let me know what you think. I respect the opinions of the dsm community, as I consider myself to be a true dsmer.

That's easy, OEM style bumper. All the aftermarket ones I've seen are exaggerated riced out versions.

+1 on OEM style bumper. Keep the Talon look. I'm doing the same with my 95 as well, but either going with eclipse high rise or wingless.

I know this is a 1g, but if you are handy with tools and your hands, it is a great looking option. It retains the stock look, but accentuates the lines... I love it on the 1g. I bet it would look great on a 2g also.

I love the 2gb talon bumper, I found a front bumper that looks similar to it, but I could still stand out without looking to ricey in my opinion.

Do what you like. OEM looks great but some aftermarket bumpers work great too. Just make sure you understand that any aftermarket bumper you buy will need to be worked and fitted to match perfectly or else it'll looks bad.

I agree with all of you, I do love the stock DSM. Rather than putting money on the exterior, I should continue building my engine (just got my MHI Evo 3 turbo)

Will be removing my 2GB Talon Front bumper in a month or so... It's cut a bit on the inside for my recent intercooler addition but Is still in good shape...

Keep it bro! Trust me a aftermarket bumper is no bueno.To much issues with cracking.

If this was ten years ago I'd say get an OEM 2GB Eclipse bumper, but seeing as these cars are getting up there in age and pretty classic in the spo-com scene. I'd say get either the original Talon bumper, or 2GB Talon bumper. Haven't seen an aftermarket kit look good yet (don't kill me for saying this but the Rudora kit actually comes close to looking good IMO )

You might want to check if Greyhound or Amtrak travels to Canada and get it shipped with them, the only bad thing about that is you'll have to take it there and pick it up at their station when it arrives

The Eclipse 2gb is the only one I like.

I really like that 1g mod though. I may do that if I pick up a 1g.

So case you didn't notice most people prefer stock look which is nice already. I love the look of stock to however I do like to be different as well and after my front bumper was cracked all over the place I changed the look to the ED Duraflex Drifter front bumper. I should of bought extra mesh grill too but with the fmic currently on mine I had to cut the inside a lot. Once I get more money I'm getting a cf spoiler, and a paint job. The look of the drifter is great and allows loads of air to the FMIC. So it's truely up to your taste, look around online at what all the companies out there have to offer and chose for yourself asking on here will get you " KEEP IT STOCK" results 8 out of 10.

2Gb Talon bumper is the best looking DSM bumper ever made. I think it would be a good idea to put one on your car.
