2G OEM fuel tank for a 98 Eclipse GST

I want to replace my old fuel tank since it’s rusted but can seem to find one. Does anyone know where to find OEM fuel tank for a 98 eclipse gst?

They have some at Rockauto. It doesn’t say FWD or AWD but I do forget if they are different between them.

Hit it with some black Steel-It before install

Okay where would i put the black steel-it?

It’s just painting it with a coating that will last. It’s used on a bunch of things but a lot of off-road guys use it(Baja 500) and it lasts.

Very different tanks.
AWD have saddle tanks and are the bane of our existence. They also have their level sensors placed differently which affects the harness.
Charcoal canister location also moved around I believe so just make sure you're getting a tank for a 98 GST and not someone selling a "2g tank".

Yeah i was looking around and it seems like no one sells a 98 GST tank. Mainly for 95-97

What did they change from 97 to 98? I’d assume it’s the same from 95-99 but again I haven’t had a 2G since 2010.

Im guessing just the charcoal canister its on the tank unlike the 95-97 im not too sure though
