OEM Carbon Fiber Hood on Black 2g

So long story short my last dsm was a silver NA which had an OEM Carbon Fiber Hood, 5 months ago I was rear ended at 40mph and my car was totalled. I bought it back and it is now in storage at my brothers shop in the meantime I bought a black 97 GSX. I have been searchin for black Eclipse's with carbon fiber hoods to see if I want to switch the hoods but havent found very many. What opinions do people have on carbon fiber hoods on black 2g's? Im trying to decide whether I should put it on my car or sell it to my brother to put on his white 2g spyder. Any opinions appreciated thanks....

It only takes 10 mins to switch hoods, just switch them and find out yourself

To me I would say it won't look bad on a black car, but regardless it will be weight savings. I think it will look better on the spyder though.

Doesnt take ten minutes if your brother lives a state away. Obviously I would have just switched them if it was that easy but its not. I had no idea if I would find another Eclipse so I sent it to my brothers shop where storage is free and then I found my current GSX about two weeks later.

It looked great on my silver eclipse but I havent seen many black 2g's with a carbon fiber hood.

Or you could sell the hood to me I got some Eibachs you may be interested in.

Ha well I am looking for lowering springs but my brothers got first dibs on it if I decide to not use it. Since he has been storing my wreck its probably the least I can do... If I sell it that is

Im eventually going to put a carbon fiber hood on my black gst, I think they look sick! As they don't stand out untill you get close.

Black with cf hood looks good IMO. Unless it's in the sunlight it is hardly even noticable. I can post some pics of my Talon when it had a CF hood on it when I get home. It's all matter of opinion though. I say swap hoods one weekend, cruize around with it on for a week or two, and make a decision based on what you like best.

Black GSX with a carbon fiber hood would look good no doubt imo.

When I got the hood I wet sanded off the gel coat and then used a certain clear mixture my brothers shop puts on carbon fiber and so far has turned out well. How long until the oxidation becomes a problem?

IMO carbon fiber hoods can accent any color. They all look good .

That hood looks so sick..thought about putting one of them bad boys on my spyder.

Not to intrude on the OP, but are your fogs yellow? Did you paint them? Yellow bulbs too?

Also, to the OP, I say CF hood for sure, especially on a black car!
