My hood flew up on me and broke the existing hood, I now have a choice to get another carbon fiber hood or go to painted. What is you opinions?

My buddy's CF hood flew up..he didnt have hood pins. But due to sun exposure all the CF products turn yellow. For me its a waste of money. If you have the car covered up most of the time it would not be a problem. As for the weight reduction. How much do you really save. I would go all iron

keep the carbon fiber. it looks good on your car. i would love to have stock style carbon fiber hood.

My thoughts are to get the rims either switched out for graphite or have these dipped in "black chrome" to look like the new vette wheels.

I can either get a Seibon or get a hood from a member on here CFeclipse. I didn't know if anyone has bought anything from him. I have seen pictures of his work and it looks really good.

I voted carbon fiber as well. It actually does compliment your car's color pretty well. What color is that by the way?

Add another vote for CF. It looks awesome on your car. And as stated I think some gunmetal rims would compliment the rest of the car perfectly/

I'd do a vented CF hood. I'd say Evo style if you are into it. It looks great on a 2g and plus the vents help with the all the extra heat under the hood of course.

But the OEM style CF hood looks great on your car.

I would stick with the CF. I did get a little confused when I saw your pic at the begining. You said you were looking for another hood cause yours flew up. Is that pic of the first hood cause it looks like you have pins installed (unless they are non functional and for looks only).?
