hello everyone i have an odd idle issue when i first start my car and let it warm for a minute it will start to surge a little then if i tap the gas it will stop. then as I'm driving and i come to a stop and step on the brakes the idle with surge a little kind of odd i was wondering if any one had a clue what this might be. thanks

That article doesn't really apply... the 420A doesn't have an ISC or FIAV, it has an IAC.

OP, everything sounds normal to me. The RPM's will increase a little when the engine is cold and the car is first started, or when the car is coming to a stop. If the idle is truly surging and the RPM's are abnormally high, or if they stay high for an unusual amount of time, I'd recommend checking the TPS and replacing if necessary.

Turbo 420a Idle Fix and EGR Check Engine Light Fix - YouTube

Above is a link to a video that shows a mechanical idle control screw you can get for the 420a. I personally have installed this on my car and love it! I used to always have an idle surge going up and down at stop lights and this fixed it for me. I also got rid of the EGR and used the resistor shown in the video and has kept t the check engine light off for 1 year now! :hellyeah:

Try and clean out the filter for the air sounds like it is getting some type of cut off
