hey hows everyone doin. so i picked up my 2nd gen about 6 or 7 months ago and a couple days after i got it the car started doing weird stuff ( ex. the tach started goin nuts then the speedo stopped working pretty much everything in the car was goin nuts then the car completly died so i went and got a used alternator and put it in and after that it ran good and never had the problem again untill yesturday i was driving home and it did the same thing as before! the last time it happend i looked at the alt. fuse and it was melted through the fuse box so i replaced that and it is still good! so is it my alternator again or somthing else iam confused!!! ant advise would be great ! thanks

it could be your alt. again, their are diodes in the back of the alt. that convert AC to DC so thats what could be messing with you. if you are goin to get another alt. my opinion would be to buy a new one. you dont know what the instides of that used one were like.

yea i should of got a new one before but part store had to order it and i needed it that day!! but i took the car up to advance yesturday and had them test the batt. and alternator and they were both fine untill he put the alt under load then the belt started slippin and making noise! so iam thinkin it probably is the alt again!!
