Octane Booster

Besides the obvious answer of race gas or av-gas, is there any other REAL way to raise octane? I mean, does that crap you can buy over-the-counter at Autozone really work?

By the way, my favorite new one (favorite being sarcastic) is that octane booster that says real big on the bottle "Made With Real Jet-Fuel!!!". Anyone out there know what jet fuel is? Keroscene! High-grade diesel! Yeah, put a shot of diesel in your car and see where your octane levels go! The sad thing is there are people out there that buy this crap.

Oh yeah, but back to the original question - Is there anything out there in a bottle that is legit?

Technically, yes it helps, but not much. Last I heard it took 10 or some incredibly high number like that to bring it up one full octane level.

There are no mechanics in cans nor bottles.

Now, the tuolene people will come out from under their rocks. You may want to cut them off and do a search.

I just tried the Torco stuff and I definitely noticed a difference.
