I was looking at an obx 40mm wastegate on ebay, and wanted to know If any one has had experience with them, or any experience with an ebay knock-off wastegate.

I know the knock-off gate has been discused before but I need an up to date answer if you have ran or are still running the ebay knock-off.

I run the knock off tial. I have yet to have a problem, and they are almost identical inside.

OBX actually makes pretty good stuff. My friend runs an OBX header on his integra and its awesome... No flaws, and hasnt fallen apart or anything.... It also gave a huge boost in the mid and upper range of his power band... :thumb:

What does the tial knock off look like. I see alot of hks ones but not tial.

Some OBX stuff fall apart some last a little longer. I have seen OBX manifolds break at the runner area making the turbo just hang. I have seen OBX try to copy the limited slip diffs but failed to because they weren't machined to specs. Just remmeber, you buy cheap you get cheap. I would never trust those parts on my car. If you don't have the money, save up. You will save a lot more in the long run this way.

I agree with you on some parts, I will buy an Ebay intercooler as I did, I did purchase the wastegate because it was cheap from a local guy and I needed it right away. I wouldnt ever buy Obx/SSA Rods, Pistons, Turbo's.
