I have had one on for about 500 miles no problems at all and it seems to spool slightly quicker than my buddies 50 trim cars..

I am using a deltagate rigged onto the 4 bolt flange.

turbo is a garret to4e 50 trim with a .63 a/r exhaust

it starts spooling about 2700 in 3rd-5th and full boost by 3,300 first gear roll on I will get full boost by 4,500

for now I love the manifold and so not understand why people are so quick to down a product because it costs less than what they bought or better yet less than what they dream to have
 
I 'm resurrecting this one again in hopes of getting more feedback. Looks like another year has elapsed.

Also has anyone had any experience with their short runner version? Thanks.
 
Sice my last post, I did buy this manifold. In the past year that I've owned it, I've only got 7 dyno pulls and about 500 miles on it. Not much useage unfortunately. But no cracks thus far, so I'm a happy camper. I'm hoping to put at least another 1-2K miles on it this Sept/Oct, so I'll report back then.
 
I've parted my Talon but still have the manifold left. Wanting to get rid of it pretty cheap cheap cheap. I didn't get to use it long but now it has a small hairline crack where the wastegate pipe comes off the rest of the manifold at that weld. At the end, the original wastegate flange was cut off and a v-band flange welded on as well as me having a bung welded on for an AEM egt probe. Still a nice manifold but if I had a Mitsu turbo, I'd be going with the FP manifold.

If I was doing it completely all over again, I'd be going with the FP manifold and a FP turbo.

Resurrecting because I have the short runner unequal length version(seen here), though I only have maybe 5 miles on it as I'm still needing to fabricate the rest of the downpipe(all 3" v-band). There are 2 very minor fitment issues, the first is my turbine housing(stock Holset T3) didn't quite clear the driver's side fan frame, which required some trimming. The second is the wastegate(Tial 38mm) touches the U-shaped hard-line on the front of the power steering pump, which I unbolted and flipped around for now(this will not work if you plan to use power steering though as it does not line up over the hole properly even though the bolt holes line up). I'm certain that will be a minor issue to fix when the time comes for me, I'll bet just taking a hacksaw and cutting maybe a 1/4" out of the hard line right where it comes out of the pump and welding it back on will take care of it. There were zero fitment issues with the water pipe, no denting required and plenty of room with the Holset. There is 1 picture in my gallery that shows water pipe clearance, the others will be at the link above whenever Imageshack decides to update.

Overall I'm very pleased with the manifold, the SUS321 tubing is very thick although I've not taken any measurements, and the welds and overall construction seems top notch IMO. No mismatched ports or dingleberry collectors with this one :) Will update in this thread as I get some miles on it.

just since this was bumped up form the dead I still run the same manifold (2 years now) and no cracks or any issues at all.. LOVE IT
 
My manifold has a crack at the wastegate pipe where it's welded to the manifold. Hairline crack which I didn't notice until a friend pointed out. Not using the manifold right now but may use it again here soon and just have it rewelded....and get something done to keep the underhood temps down. Some heatwrap or something cause it gets really toasty under there with that thing.
 
I have a buddy of mine that has/had a dnp manifold and we compared his to mine. Holy crap, his ports where it mounts up to the head were SOOOOO much smaller than my DNP. And personally, I would've been pissed if I had payed that much money for a manifold and my ports were that small. I traded him my T-67 and OBX and got a new 50 trim and new 2g exhaust manifold out of the deal. He was gonna give me the DNP but I declined it. The 2g ports were much larger so didn't even wanna bother, not to mention the added underhood temps I would've had. Sorry but I didn't even think to take pics.
 
From the dead again:D What did you 2g guys do to make the upper radiator hose clear the manifold mine is hitting. Oh by the way I though I give this thing a shot since I got one brand new for free. I did read the thread and though it be a good Idea to have the entire unit rewelded to see if I could get it to last for a while. I read obx site and it states that the manifold is now made with thick guage sus321 stainless steele. I did have to do some port work on the exhaust ports for they were way to small and would be a restriction to exhaust flow from the head I also blended the inside of the t3 flange so that exhaust would not be restricted there as well. I replaced the 4bolt wastegate flange with a v band type. I am all ready to install but the tubes seems to hit my upper radiator hose:confused:

I've been rather impressed with this manifold lately...they are rock solid as far as I've seen.

Anyways the fix for your issue is to use a 1g radiator...... You will have to relocate or remove the feet on the bottom ..but it puts the upper radiator hose in a much better position.

This is the best solution by far. This is exactly what I did to get the upper hose to clear my old T4 setup as well as my compound set-up. Minimal amount of work and it's superb for getting the upper hose out of the way.

So everything from 1g radiator will work except the feet. How about the bracket that ties it in at the top? Thanks for suggestion. Yeah I must say I am very impressed with the manifold as well. I can't wait to get this thing on the dyno.
 
Yeah, the lower feet just need to be hacked off and re-welded about 1" over. The posts on the top are extremely close to where they need to be. I'm talking within .25". You can still use the factory brackets without any modification. When I ran a 1G radiator, my brackets sat slightly cocked, so I only ran one bolt on each. PIC

I purchased a manifold from obx as well for my 20g build

EVO ECLIPSE GST GSX 4G63 OBX SUS304 TURBO MANIFOLD | eBay

I couldnt find an affordable external wastegate manifold for a MHI turbo. For 205 bucks shipped I thought Id give it a shot. I havnt put it on yet, I will this winter. I can update with how it holds up if need be.

There's many kickass T3 manifolds for under $1K. Does it have to be a ramhorn style?

Gamble is selling a brand new ERL right now for $500 shipped. I'd be all over that if I were in the market for a T3 manifold.
